I am the senior health care assistant in the HIV team. I have worked within the trust for eight years – six years in the heartlands HIV service, and two years in haematology/oncology. I qualified in phlebotomy in 2010.

My responsibilities include the organisation of the band two health care assistants, in order to assist in the smooth running of the HIV clinics; ordering of supplies,  preparing and sourcing patient notes for clinic, and obtaining venous samples from patients  for various blood tests. I am a member of the department’s infection control team, fire warden team and a basic life support link trainer.
