John was born, lived , trained and worked in sexual health and HIV in south London for 11 years, including 7 years as a consultant. He moved to Birmingham in 2010, and in his own words is, “very happy here”.
His areas of expertise include HIV renal disease and HIV-related lymphoma (in both of which he offers a joint clinic), and HIV inpatients (in which capacity he acts as the liaison with Infectious Diseases consultants). John strongly believes in the importance of starting HIV treatment early at any stage.
John’s also a keen amateur football player, playing for Wake Green in the Birmimgham AFA. He has represented the British Medical Football Team in 2012 and 2013 in the World Medical Football Championships.
